The Young and the Restless Snags 25 Daytime Emmy Nominations The Young and the Restless dominated the Daytime Emmy nominations which were announced earlier this week. The number one rated drama for nearly three decades scored 25 nominations overall, including Outstanding Drama Series, Writing Team, Directing Team and nine acting nods. General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful each received 23 nominations, while Days of our Lives collected 22. Two longtime Days cast members, John Aniston and James Reynolds, are both vying for Outstanding Supporting Actor. The Daytime Emmy Awards will be handed out on April 30 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. There is no word on whether they will be televised this year.
