A review of the product
My situation may be a little different than some others on this forum. My first DSLR was a Nikon D90 and then I moved to a D7000. I had assorted Nikon lenses and equipment and having reached age 70, I decided to gear down and sell all of my Nikon equipment and buy a good point and shoot. After looking into everything that was available in the point n shoot world, I realized that nothing would take the place of my D7000; that is until the D5500 was introduced. Between its amazingly light weight, articulating touch screen LCD, WiFi, uniformly positive reviews, light weight collapsing 18-55 vr2 and 55-200vr lenses, as well as an under $1000 price point, I decided that this could be the answer for my purposes as a perfect all around consumer camera. Bottom line, I love this camera and as it has turned out being everything that I had hoped for and more. Beautiful pictures, simple to use, and easy to haul around; there just isnt any downside to owning this camera. Hope this has helped make someones decision a little easier - you just cant go wrong with the D5500.

#08 Canon EOS 6D 20.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera with 3.0-Inch LCD (Body Only) - Wi-Fi Enabled
A product Review
I bought the 6D because I wanted a full frame camera for landscape and night photography. I had a T3i before, and I was always a bit disappointed with its image quality. The 6D has proven to be the perfect upgrade for me. Image quality and low light performance are fantastic with the 6D, and its great being able to control the camera using an iPad via wireless networking.

#07 Nikon D3300 DX-format DSLR Kit w/ 18-55mm DX VR II & 55-200mm DX VR II Zoom Lenses and Case (Black)
I love my Nikon dslr, I got this for Christmas and I never get wrong of getting this for myself. I havent explored it yet much and just did auto shots with the 18-55mm lens and Im surprised on how great the photos turned out. I will enclose photos taken from it in auto shots in a while. If it takes great photo with just the plain auto shots, what more with other advance options for taking photos! Im a beginner so I love this.

#06 Canon EOS Rebel T6 Digital
A product review from customer
I bought this refurbish because it is almost 20% less than the new one while it has the same 1 year warranty from Canon.
T6 is one of the smallest and lightest DSLRs. It is a great beginners DSLR. Takes wonderful photo.
I had a canon T5 before, which has no Wi-Fi. Canon T6 replaces the Canon T5. The main differences are: Canon T6 has Wifi and a Digic 4+ processor while Canon T5 has no Wi-Wi and a basic Digic 4 processor.

#05 Nikon D3400 DSLR Camera with AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR and AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED
The Nikon D3400 with the new 18-55mm and 70-300mm AF-P lenses cannot be beat at the current price ($500). The D3400 camera body and compact and light for a DSLR. The 18-55mm lens is what you would expect from a kit lens and has VR (vibration reduction, the Nikon version of image stabilization).
The 70-300mm is great for when you need more reach and is fast focusing. Nikon sells a VR version of the 70-300mm lens; however, they included a non-VR version in this package. That is disappointing, as the image stabilization would be helpful at longer zooms at slower shutter speeds.
I plan to use this lens primarily for outdoor sports with faster shutter speeds, so it wont make much of a difference for me, but it would be nice to have the VR for indoor or low light outdoor situations. Also, Nikon has added software to this camera so it will not function with 3rd party batteries installed. I learned this the hard way and will be sending back the 3rd party batteries I purchased. However, Ive been told that there are new 3rd party batteries that have found a way around this. Im waiting for mine to arrive to confirm this.

Product Review
Perfect camera for getting photos of wild game and landscapes as the basis for my watercolor paintings. Easy to use, change of lenses, etc. and very good definition. I was a little disappointed that two days after my purchase the same combination of camera and lenses were on Amazon for $100 less that what I paid!!!

#02 Nikon D3300 1532 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II Auto Focus-S DX NIKKOR Zoom Lens 24.2 MP Digital SLR Black
I LOVE this camera. Its been on numerous trips with me, such as North Carolina , Washington DC , the Adirondacks , Cape Cod , Baltimore , and so many more. The quality is SUPER nice, and the audio from videos is VERY crisp. This was my first DSLR, and I would recommend this to anybody whos looking for a nice simple DSLR with auto and manual settings. Ive had this camera for almost a year now as well and its highly durable! Its been in boats, cars, tree tops, boxes, waterproof bags, you name it. I love my little D3300 and I hope you will too!! 100 out to 5 stars!

Product Review from costumer
Unlike many of the reviewers on here, I dont have another DSLR camera to compare this one to. Its my first, but what I want to do is approach this review from the pov of a first-time DLSR user. I kind of have no choice, eh? But what I mean is, instead of going on about specifics, I am looking at how easy was it for a beginner like me to use this camera.
The short and simple answer: Very easy.
First, let me say I have had several Canon compact point-and-shoot digital cameras. My current one is the Power shot SX280 HS, which I LOVE. One thing I love about Canon is that they tend to set up their cameras very similarly between models, so I had no trouble getting used to where buttons were and what different symbols mean and how to scroll through menus.
Some of the features I really like about the T5 are the weight, the fit in my hand, the large view screen, the button placement, the battery life, the ease of use of the software for uploading pictures, and the picture quality is great.

The main thing is, I was able to pull this camera out of the box and just start using it.
More specifically, I had a blast taking macro shots. I am a total nerd when it comes to insects and such, so I love taking close-ups. Not just bugs, but all kinds of things. This camera is great for those kinds of shots. Great for portrait and distance as well, but this was the feature that had me scouring my yard for cool stuff to shoot.
I do agree with others about the slowness of the auto focus. However, it does kind of depend on what youre shooting and what the lighting is like. In nice afternoon sun, the speed was quite good for me.
